2024 Lexus LC 500: A Masterpiece Of Style And Performance

Lexus LC 500 Bespoke Build Package

In the realm of luxury sports coupes, the 2024 Lexus LC 500 Coupe Bespoke Build Package in Ultrasonic Blue Mica stands as an exquisite work of art. Lexus has melded impeccable design with formidable performance, resulting in a vehicle that’s not just a mode of transportation but a symphony of style and power that captivates both the eyes and the soul. The coupe stands as a true icon in the world of automotive design, boasting sensational styling that’s nothing short of mesmerizing. With its sculpted lines and aggressive stance, it’s virtually impossible to go unnoticed when behind the wheel of this masterpiece. The LC 500’s allure extends beyond aesthetics, as it offers a luxurious ride that caters to long road trips and daily commutes. Make sure to check out our LC 500 Hybrid Review.

Driving the LC 500 from Houston to Dallas Fort Worth for the Hot Wheels Legends Tour Car Show was an exhilarating experience. The sleek and powerful LC 500 proved to be the ultimate sport vessel for this road trip, making the journey fun and incredibly comfortable. As we cruised down the highways, heads were turning non-stop, from the bustling streets of Houston to the moment we pulled up to our hotel and the grand event at the car show itself. It was astonishing to witness adults and kids alike gawking at the car’s striking design and undeniable allure. The LC 500 garnered many compliments wherever we went, adding flair and excitement to our truly unforgettable trip.

Exterior:

The LC 500 Coupe’s exterior is a visual feast for enthusiasts. Riding on 21-inch forged black alloy wheels adorned with metallic accents, this coupe commands attention with its imposing presence on the road. The triple-beam LED headlamps cut through the darkness like a blade, providing crystal-clear illumination. Power-folding, heated outer mirrors with memory functions offer convenience and enhance safety. The pièce de résistance is the glass roof with a sunshade, allowing you to savor the open sky while cruising. And the speed-activated rear wing adds aerodynamic finesse and a dash of drama to the design. However, a more exclusive exterior paint choice that complements the interior’s blue theme would have been a nice touch, allowing buyers to fully customize their vehicle’s appearance rather than the color slate shared with other Lexus models.

Whether cruising on the highway or navigating city streets, the coupe’s plush and smooth driving experience ensures every journey is comfortable and refined. Surprisingly, this coupe also surprises with its cargo convenience. Despite its coupe classification, it provides ample space for your belongings, making it not just a performance vehicle but a practical one. Speaking of performance, the LC 500 doesn’t disappoint in that department either.

Performance

Under the hood, the LC 500 Coupe boasts a robust 5.0-liter V8 engine that roars to life with 471 horsepower and 398 pound-feet of torque. The power is masterfully harnessed by a 10-speed automatic transmission, ensuring seamless acceleration and thrilling responsiveness. With rear-wheel drive and Adaptive Variable Suspension, this coupe strikes a remarkable balance between comfort and sportiness, making it equally suited for spirited drives and leisurely road trips. The active sport exhaust system adds a harmonious note to every journey, perfectly complementing the car’s aggressive exterior. With performance brakes featuring aluminum calipers, you can trust in the precision of your stopping power.

Safety & Technology:

Lexus takes safety and technology seriously. The LC 500 Coupe comes equipped with the Lexus Safety System+ 2.5, featuring Lane Tracing Assist, Road Sign Assist, Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Departure Alert with steering assist, Blind Spot Monitor, Panoramic View Monitor, and Intuitive Parking Assist. These advanced safety features offer peace of mind, whether tackling the highway or maneuvering into tight parking spots.

Interior:

Slip into the cabin, and you’ll find a sanctuary of luxury and comfort. The leather-trimmed, heated, and ventilated power front seats, with driver’s seat memory, provide exceptional support, especially during long journeys. Dual-zone climate control ensures that drivers and passengers revel in their desired temperature. The Mark Levinson Premium Audio System envelops you in a world of high-fidelity sound. The white and blue interior, accentuated by semi-aniline leather-trimmed front seats, imparts an air of sophistication and individuality to the LC 500 Coupe’s interior ambiance.

However, a panoramic glass roof instead of a simple sunroof could enhance the cabin’s open and airy feel. It would provide an even more immersive driving experience. Also, the windshield is designed to bring in the beauty of the surroundings, and it can sometimes bring in too much heat during sunny days. Adding tint toward the roofline would be a welcome addition. This would ensure that occupants stay comfortable even when the sun is at its peak. These minor tweaks could further elevate the LC 500 Coupe’s already impressive offering, making it an even more desirable choice in the luxury sports coupe segment.

Verdict

The 2024 Lexus LC 500 is an enticing fusion of style, performance, and luxury. It’s not just a car; it’s an automotive masterpiece. This 2-door work of art commands attention on the road while delivering a thrilling performance. All while pampering its occupants with comfort and advanced safety technology. While there’s room for enhancement, it remains an excellent choice for those seeking an alluring and potent grand tourer. With a starting price of $107,680.00, it presents an impressive package for its price point, making it an enticing proposition for those seeking style and substance in their automotive choice.

Features like a Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, and Lane Tracing Assist contribute to elevated driving confidence. Automatic High Beams and Proactive Driving Assist further enhance the safety net. The tech features in the Grand Highlander are equally impressive. The 12.3-inch touchscreen with Toyota Audio Multimedia offers intuitive controls and access to features like wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, streamlining connectivity. The Qi-compatible wireless smartphone charging eliminates the hassle of cords while keeping your devices charged. And if you’re an audiophile, the 1,200-watt JBL Audio System with eleven speakers promises a phenomenal sound experience.

Evolution Of The Nissan GT-R: A Cinematic and Pop Culture Icon

The Nissan GT-R has gone from a motorsport legend to a cinematic icon.

The Nissan GT-R earned the nickname “Godzilla” in 1992 when the R32 debuted. It has become a high-performance icon that seamlessly fuses speed, precision, and innovation. Its journey from the racetrack to the silver screen is a captivating tale of engineering brilliance and cultural influence. The GT-R has a rich history, dating back to the 1960s with the first generation Skyline GT-R. However, the R32 Skyline GT-R brought the nameplate to the global stage. It quickly became a favorite among enthusiasts and motorsport aficionados. That is thanks to advanced technology like the ATTESA E-TS all-wheel-drive system and a powerful inline-six engine.  This generation’s impressive track performance earned it the nickname “Godzilla” due to its supernatural abilities to outperform rivals.

The GT-R’s influence on films became increasingly evident.

It gained recognition for its performance and distinct aesthetics. The R34 Skyline GT-R’s appearance in the 2001 film “The Fast and the Furious” marked a pivotal moment, introducing the car to a worldwide audience and cementing its place in automotive pop culture. Its starring role in subsequent franchise installments only solidified its status as an icon. However, the true watershed moment for the GT-R arrived with the introduction of the R35 model in 2007. Breaking away from the Skyline lineage, the Nissan GT-R stood alone, showcasing cutting-edge technology, including the ATTESA E-TS Pro all-wheel-drive system and a handcrafted twin-turbo V6 engine. Its acceleration and handling prowess were second to none, setting record lap times on famed tracks like the Nürburgring. As a result, it gained the moniker “Supercar Killer,” challenging the dominance of established luxury sports car brands.

In pop culture, the R35 GT-R’s impact was equally significant.

Its inclusion in video games like the Gran Turismo series and various racing titles made it a virtual poster child for automotive enthusiasts. The GT-R’s futuristic design and ferocious performance made it a favorite among die-cast model collectors and custom car builders. The GT-R’s allure blossomed with appearances in movies like “Need for Speed” and the upcoming Gran Turismo movie, where it seamlessly merged with the high-octane action and modern aesthetics of these films. Its menacing stance, distinctive quad-circle taillights, and signature roar became synonymous with power and precision, leaving an indelible mark on pop culture.

Thanks to Nissan, I have been driving the 2023 Nissan GTR for the past several days.

It is a masterpiece of high-performance engineering. It is an exhilarating ride that embodies the heart-pounding spirit of motorsports. With its handcrafted twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter V6 engine, delivering an impressive 565 horsepower in the GT-R Premium trim, this powerhouse is ready to deliver gut-punching acceleration at the slightest tap of the pedal. The ATTESA ET-S all-wheel-drive system ensures optimal traction and handling. Its dynamic handling shines through corners, making it a thrill to pilot on city streets, and it is ready for the race tracks.

The GT-R’s exhilarating ride and agile handling are the results of its meticulously calibrated independent double-wishbone front suspension and independent multi-link rear suspension. It features Bilstein DampTronic shock absorbers as standard, providing drivers with three selectable settings: Normal, Comfort, and R. These distinct modes empower the driver to seamlessly blend different degrees of driving comfort with the signature sporty and responsive handling that defines the GT-R. Conveniently placed on the car’s central console, sizeable tactile switches grant control over the engine, transmission, and suspension’s trio of driving modes.

Exuding a timeless and iconic design, the GT-R’s aggressive yet refined exterior is designed to turn heads and maximize aerodynamic efficiency. This car demands attention with its wide and low stance, muscular curves, and distinctive design cues. However, while the exterior remains captivating, the interior could benefit from a much-needed upgrade. The comfy Nappa leather-appointed seats and “horizontal-flow” dashboard design offer a luxurious feel, but the lack of modern technology and features leaves much to be desired.

One of the most remarkable aspects of the GT-R is its versatility.

Despite its race-inspired performance, it’s surprisingly accessible to drivers of varying skill levels. Anyone can enjoy the thrill of driving this supercar, whether you’re a seasoned track enthusiast or someone new to high-performance vehicles. The GT-R’s adjustable suspension settings and intuitive handling make it adaptable to different driving preferences. This feature makes it as suitable for daily commuting as it is for spirited weekend drives.

Verdict

While the GT-R undoubtedly offers an unforgettable driving experience, notable areas warrant improvement. Despite its comfort, the interior is showing signs of aging, compounded by my disappointment with the utilized materials and finishes. A comprehensive redesign holds the potential to integrate modern technology and features, addressing these concerns seamlessly. Although back seats are present, they lean more towards symbolism than practicality, making minimal contributions to the car’s overall usability. Adding more flair to the GT-R’s interior and an upgraded head unit and gauge cluster could distinctly set the latest model apart from its predecessor.

However, the absence of a crisp backup camera or a 360-degree view could be better, especially considering the substantial price tag of over $123,000. Despite these considerations, the 2023 Nissan GT-R remains a resounding testament to Nissan’s unwavering commitment to high-performance engineering. This track-ready vehicle harmoniously fuses timeless design, exceptional handling, and an exhilarating driving experience that is genuinely challenging to match.

Introducing the 2024 Nissan GT-R

The 2024 Nissan GT-R has been unveiled with a range of updates. The new year model will receive redesigned front and rear fascias and innovative rear wing designs. Alongside these enhancements, the T-spec special edition returns. It joins the existing lineup alongside the GT-R Premium and NISMO models. T-spec pays tribute to the rare R34-generation GT-R models with unique paint colors like Millennium Jade and Midnight Purple. The GT-R Premium and T-spec boast 565 horsepower to enthrall sports car enthusiasts, and the GT-R NISMO ramps up performance to 600 horsepower by drawing direct inspiration from motorsports applications. Enthusiasts can anticipate the 2024 Nissan GT-R arriving at select U.S. Nissan dealerships this spring.

2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Summit Reserve Is Unparalleled Performance and Luxury

The Jeep Grand Cherokee is better than ever.

The Jeep Grand Cherokee has long been regarded as one of the most iconic SUVs in the automotive industry. With its combination of legendary 4×4 capability, refined on-road performance, and premium features, it has garnered numerous awards and accolades over the years. Now, the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Summit Reserve takes this legacy to new heights by offering exceptional performance, comfort, functionality, and a touch of luxury. The SUV has a noteworthy feature. It is built using a global unibody vehicle architecture. It also has three rows of seats and can comfortably accommodate up to seven passengers. The cabin has individual climate zones for each occupant, making the journey enjoyable for everyone on board. The interior of this vehicle is stunningly comfortable and luxurious, with plush materials and advanced technology. No matter where you sit, you can expect to enjoy an incredibly comfortable ride.

Jeep has also introduced several new features and options for 2023.

The SUV offers advanced driver-assist systems, 360-degree surround view and night vision cameras, and an L2 driver-assist system with hands-on automated driving. The available 10-inch digital screens, Uconnect 5 system, windshield Head-up Display (HUD), digital rearview mirror, and rear-seat monitoring camera. The Summit Reserve model also boasts an exclusive premium 19-speaker McIntosh audio system, ensuring exceptional audio quality for all occupants.

Jeep vehicles provide authentic off-road capabilities.

It has three 4×4 systems that improve traction and an active transfer case for better performance. It’s perfect for rough terrains with a ground clearance of 10.9 inches and the ability to navigate through water up to 24 inches deep. The Jeep Selec-Terrain switch offers five modes to optimize performance, and the Overland and Summit models have Hill-descent Control for better control on steep inclines.

Two engine options are offered on the 2023 model.

Our test model came with the standard 3.6-liter V6 Pentastar engine. The engine generates up to 290 horsepower and 257 lb.-ft. of torque. At the $77,000 price point, I would have expected the 5.7-liter V8 engine, which offers 357 horsepower and 390 lb.-ft. of torque. Both engines have a reliable TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission, providing smooth gear changes and improved fuel efficiency. However, what holds this model back is the undersized engine for the yacht on wheels, which is nearing almost $80k.

Verdict

As the SUV pulled into the driveway, I was struck by its mesmerizing Hydro Blue Pearl exterior. But, upon seeing the stunning interior, I realized that a different paint job would have been more complimentary, despite my love for blue. This Summit Reserve SUV offers luxurious options and features. Everything inside is on par with the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer, making it a great choice for families. Despite feeling perky at times, this model’s steep MSRP had me expecting a beefier engine. I’m also concerned about its MPG, as I only got a combined 16.5 miles per gallon with a V6, but that may be due to my heavier foot. However, the SUV does offer a comfortable ride, a spacious cabin, and numerous luxury features, all in an attractive-looking SUV.

2023 Ford F-150 Raptor R – Test Drive Review

We did a Texas road trip in the 2023 Ford Raptor R.

The Raptor has been around for a long time and has undergone significant changes. However, Ford had something in the works to put the performance truck back on the map. The Raptor R was recently introduced, promising an adrenaline-fueled thrill ride on the streets and off-road. That is all thanks to the Frankenstein mashup, a Shelby GT 500 hiding behind the skin of an F-150 Raptor.

The F150 Raptor is a high-performance pickup truck introduced by the Ford Motor Company in 2010.

It was developed by Ford’s Special Vehicle Team (SVT) and was designed to be an off-road racing truck that could also be used as a daily driver. The idea for the Ford F150 Raptor was born out of the success of the Ford F150 SVT Lightning, a high-performance street truck that was produced from 1993 to 1995 and from 1999 to 2004. The SVT team wanted to create a similar vehicle that could handle the rigors of off-road racing, and the Ford F150 Raptor was the result.

The first generation of the Ford F150 Raptor was produced from 2010 to 2014.

It was powered by a 6.2-liter V8 engine that produced 411 horsepower and 434 pound-feet of torque. In addition, it featured a reinforced frame, a wider track, and a suspension system specifically designed for off-road driving. The first-generation Raptor also had a unique appearance: a bold grille, flared fenders, and a distinctive hood with an air vent.

In 2017, Ford introduced the second generation of the F150 Raptor.

This version of the truck was powered by a high-output 3.5-liter V6 engine that produced 450 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque. It also featured a new 10-speed automatic transmission and an updated suspension system with adaptive dampers. As a result, the second-generation Raptor was even more capable off-road than its predecessor, with improved approach and departure angles, increased suspension travel, and a new Terrain Management System that allowed drivers to adjust the truck’s performance for different types of terrain.

2021 brought the third generation of the F150 Raptor.

It offers the same engine as the previous generation, but Ford has recently introduced the Raptor R edition. It is the most powerful F-150 Raptor ever, featuring a new 5.2-liter supercharged V8 producing 700 horsepower and 640 lb.-ft. of torque. This engine was previously seen in the Mustang Shelby GT500 and is matched with a 10-speed automatic transmission. The truck received an upgraded suspension and various off-road features, including skid plates, all-terrain tires, and improved ground clearance.

Exterior

I love the new aggressive hood air extractor on the Raptor R that sits 1 inch taller. However, it may be difficult for many to differentiate it from an EcoBoost Raptor visually. The Code Orange’ R’ badges and 37-inch tires are the only notions that this is the ultimate Raptor offered, but the new Raptor always looked good. The Antimatter Blue Metallic paint on our press vehicle is very misleading. At first and second glance, you think it is black, and others won’t believe it is blue. The Iconic F O R D grill is unchanged but is accompanied by the R badge. The entire front end of this truck stands out when all the headlights, RIGID fog lights, and grille lights are illuminated.

Exterior Rating: 9/10

Interior

The inside does offer a similar feel to a normal F-150. However, you will notice the carbon fiber trim on the dash, steering wheel, and door panels. In addition, you can find Raptor badging on the steering wheel, seats, and center armrest, along with Code Orange accent stitching on the Recaro seats that sport a combination of black leather and Alcantara suede. The truck was equipped with Heated & ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, a heated steering wheel, wireless phone charging, surround view cameras, an 18-speaker B&O sound system, and much more, all providing modern comfort. My favorite feature similar to what was seen in the King Ranch we tested was the fold-out center armrest that becomes a work desk.

Interior Rating: 8/10

Performance

Ford Performance enlisted the most powerful engine in its lineup. Previously seen in the Mustang Shelby GT500, the supercharged V8 makes the Raptor the most fun truck I have driven. The huge smile this truck puts on your face justifies the 11 MPG and the mandatory 91+ octane. It smoothly handles what this V8 throws at it. This truck can easily transition from the streets to the sand, handling rougher terrain efficiently. My favorite feature on this truck is the exhaust system with a true pass-through muffler and active valve system, with modes for Normal, Sport, Quiet, and Baja. I have never heard a truck sound this good. It just sounds bonkers.

These customizable modes can be accessed in the MyMode features.

It also allows drivers to customize drive, steering, and suspension modes. You can save your ideal settings by pressing the “R” button on the steering wheel. The 10-speed automatic allows the truck to rush to 60 mph from a standstill in just 3.6 seconds. This truck makes driving 900 miles effortless and provides a smooth ride thanks to the 37-inch tires and electric dampers. Still, this super truck is not ideal for road trips, especially if you want to reduce stops at the gas station.

Performance Rating: 10/10

2023 Ford Raptor R Verdict

The Raptor R is aimed to take down the TRX, but it is also $25K+ more than the Ram Truck. The model we tested has an MSRP of $109,740, but I would not be surprised if there were still dealerships marking these up to almost $200k. However, this bigger and better Raptor is the ultimate F-150 and is my preference over the TRX.  It is a highly capable and exciting Muscle Truck for those who love off-road adventure and high-performance vehicles.

2022 Ford Bronco: Raptor vs Everglades

2022 Ford Bronco Raptor and Everglades Series

We compare the 2022 Ford Bronco Raptor and Everglades series.

The good folks at Ford Motor Company gave me 14 days behind two 2022 Ford Broncos. This was not the first time I was handed the keys to the new Bronco. In the Spring, I took an Outer Banks series to the beach, which was tons of fun and was turning heads. This month, I started my first seven days behind the Everglades series, followed by a Raptor series. Both vehicles offered a completely different riding experience.

Exterior

Looking at both Bronco, they are night and day. The Everglades series is in Desert Sand and has some fun and serious accessories for extreme offroading. Right off the bat, you notice the WARN® Bronco Winch Kit and Snorkel system, which both come factory installed. The snorkel allows for the submersion of up to 36.4 inches of water. When you add the Sasquatch package, you get 17-inch Carbonized Gray-painted alloy wheels with 35-inch Mud-Terrain tires. I needed the side steps on this model for easy entry, but if you plan to offroad your Bronco, it’s best not to have any.

The Raptor series is in Velocity Blue and looks like a life-size Hot Wheel. You first notice the Unique Raptor Hood and Grille with black “FORD” lettering, followed by the massively wide fender flares that lay over the 37 inches all-terrain tires. This variation came equipped with Removeable Running Board which was much needed, as it is taller than the Everglades series. Additionally, there are heavy-duty bash plates and modular front bumper with Rigid LED fog and off-road lamps.

Exterior Winner: Everglades Series

The Everglades exterior color is impressive in person, and the offroad accessories give it a more visually pleasing stance in contrast to the overly aggressive and toy-ish Raptor series seen in the same blue offered on the F-150 Raptors.

Interior

Both interiors are very similar. They both have Marine Grade Vinyl, Heated Front Seats, SYNC 4 – 12″ inch infotainment display, 60/40 split-folding rear seat, and push-button start. The Everglades’ has an onyx interior, whereas the Raptor has an onyx and blue combination with suede. Even the Raptor’s steering wheel is the iconic style seen in the Raptor trucks, with a single red stripe at 12 o’clock. The Raptor series also had powered seats which the Everglades did not, and I was surprised that none of the Broncos I drove had cooling seats, a must-have in Texas, regardless of the season.

Interior Winner: Raptor Series

The two-tone color really pops, especially with the suede inserts and red stitching all around, adding more value and style to the overall interior.

Performance

These two Broncos had two different powertrains. The Everglades series was equipped with a 2.3L EcoBoost I-4 Engine, giving us that sweet turbo tone. It is matched with a 10-Speed Automatic Transmission pushing out 300 horsepower and 326 lb-ft of torque on premium fuel. On the streets, we were averaging 17.5 MPG. Additionally, it is equipped with electronic-locking front and rear axles, a 4.7 final drive ratio, high-clearance suspension, position-sensitive Bilstein shock absorbers, and high-clearance fender flares. Despite being heavier and slower, it is made for fearless offroading.

On the other hand, the Raptor is a real mean street machine with a 3.0L EcoBoost V6 Engine that sounds so good ripping down the streets in sport mode. Keeping our foot light on the pedal was hard, but we averaged 13 MPG. Matched with a 10-Speed Automatic Transmission, this beefy Bronco pushes out 418 horsepower and 440 lb-ft of torque on premium fuel. It is capable of 0-60 mph in 5.6 seconds.

Performance Winner: Raptor Series

2022 Ford Bronco Final Thoughts

Ford offers dozens of different variations of the new Bronco. You can easily find the one that fits you. The Raptor is a more fun series to drive with its larger engine, more excellent interior, and throaty exhaust. I would love to mash up the Everglades exterior color and accessories, such as the Snorkel and Winch, to this Raptor edition, making it the ultimate Bronco. The MSRP for the Everglades series tested is $56,535.00, and the MSRP for the Raptor series tested is $76,620.00. Please do not pay over MSRP if you are in the market for one. Ford has already disapproved of this new dishonest practice by dealers.

Jeep Grand Wagoneer (Series II Obsidian) – 2022 Test Drive Review

The 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer makes road trips effortless.

The good folks at Stellantis once again got me behind the wheel of their impressive Jeep Grand Wagoneer. This time it was Series II Obsidian model. I have been around this car a dozen times, which still amazes me. The Grand Wagoneer was my mode of transportation from Houston to Austin, where I covered the Fantastic Flim festival for my site Nerdtropolis. I knew this luxury SUV would provide an excellent and comfortable experience for my weekend journey.

Exterior

Many have argued that the Grand Wagoner has a lackluster exterior design. I beg to differ, as this SUV has distinct styling cues and is filled with brilliant easter eggs if you look closely enough. The Obsidian appearance package is my favorite color combo on the Grand Wagoneer. It provides a Bight White exterior color matched with Piano Black accents all over the SUV, from the wheels to the seven-slot grille to the window trim and roof.

Exterior Rating: 8/10

Interior

Many interior elements pay tribute to the Grand Wagoneer’s long history and feature high-end craftsmanship and added upscale materials. The interior design is elegant and modern, from the door panels to the dash and center console. Seating 7, every passenger will be pampered with comfort, tech, and entertainment. The front passenger gets their own screen, and two more touchscreens are mounted onto the headrests for your rear passengers. One of my favorite features is the McIntosh Entertainment System, which provides crisp and excellent sound. Additionally, the center console mini fridge is a great and convenient addition. To top off, the luxury experience is the massaging seats with over a dozen settings.

Interior Rating: 10/10

Performance

The 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer has a standard 6.4-liter V8 delivering 471 horsepower and 455 pound-feet of torque with the help of an eight-speed automatic transmission. Despite weighing over 6,300 pounds, the SUV can move quickly, especially when you need to pass on the highways. This SUV has an exceptionally smooth ride and offers excellent handling despite its extra large size. Navigating this yacht on wheels is a breeze, especially on the highway. Just recently, Jeep introduced the successor to this engine for 2023. It is a 510-hp twin-turbocharged inline-six called the Hurricane engine, and I have heard great things about it already. One is better MPG, as I was getting 14 miles per gallon on my trip, and this engine needed premium gas which can make a dent in your wallet.

This SUV has a 10,000-pound maximum towing capacity, three available four-wheel-drive systems, and a Quadra-Lift air suspension. The air suspension has multiple ride heights, allowing easy access into the SUV by lowering it by a half-inch and making it over obstacles with its 10 inches of ground clearance after raising the ride height to 3.6 inches. The Grand Wagoneer has safety features such as Automatic Emergency Braking, Active Lane Management, Blind-spot Monitoring, Rear park assist sensors, Rear Cross Path detection, Active Driving Assist, and Night Vision.

Performance Rating: 9/10

2022 Grand Wagoneer Verdict

The Grand Wagoneer aims to compete against premium and luxury full-size SUVs like the GMC Yukon Denali and Cadillac Escalade. It is the ultimate ultra-luxury SUV for large families that like to travel short and long distances. The Grand Wagoneer offers best-in-class overall passenger volume, best-in-class third-row head and legroom, and the most cargo volume behind the third row. The MSRP for the model tested above is $112,475.

I look forward to the future Grand Wagoneers, such as the newly introduced L, providing more cargo space.
