In 2008, Sean Tajipour, a longtime gearhead, bought a 2006 Pontiac GTO, a Muscle Car with a 6.0 liter V8 LS2 engine and 400 horsepower. Revved up by his GTO purchase, he founded West Houston Muscle in 2009 to bring together like-minded automotive enthusiasts. The first West Houston Muscle event in 2009 showcased 75 muscle and classic cars, and in the years since. As of today WHM has produced more than 600 family-friendly automotive events and festivals. West Houston Muscle is now the largest car club in Texas with more than 4,000 members. Sean is also highly active in his community—he hosted the Boobs Rock Car Show with 94.5 The Buzz’s Rod Ryan that raised more than $10,000 for breast cancer research, advocated for safe driving on a local news station, and regularly reviews new models for major automotive brands.
