2020 Corvette C8, A Mid Engine Sports Car
2020 Chevy Corvette Stingray Convertible Debuts at SEMA
Available in 2020, the C8 Corvette Stingray is making its tour around the country. During the SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Chevrolet had a few on display for the automotive industry to take a closer look at and the Rapid Blue hardtop convertible caught my attention. The C8 Stingray drew non-stop crowds during the SEMA Show with a matching two-tone interior.
The mid-engine Corvette is a car that has been 67 years in the making.
It is not like anything that has come before it. This is the first time that a retractable hardtop has been introduced that does not compromise the storage capabilities. The C8 is packed with an LT2 V8 engine that puts out 495 horsepower, and 470 lb-ft of torque is visible through a rear hatch window only available on the coupes. You can activate the two-piece hardtop at speeds up to 30 mph, which is offered in body color or Carbon Flash.
The new engine placement allows more power to be directed to the rear wheels. This also allowed for more storage to be offered with a larger cargo area in the front and back. The interior provides an immersive driving experience with a lowered instrument panel racing-inspired. The steering wheel also allows for better vision. The cockpit has a center console with easy access to buttons for climate control and seat ventilation and offers storage with USB ports.
The next generation 2020 Stingray gives you a redesigned appearance and performance. It will thrill you on the streets or at the track. The C8 has a top speed of 194 mph, 0-60 in just 2.9 seconds. It is capable of a quarter-mile time of 11.2 seconds. Early 2020 is the availability date of the c8.
